Dr. Anil Potti is Board Certified in Medical Oncology, a branch of medicine that deals with tumors or cancer. He is an extensively experienced clinician based in the US and over the years, he has gained huge popularity for taking care of patients with lung cancer. he who received his Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (M.B.B.S) in 1995 from the Christian Medical College & Hospital, Vellore, India.
He has made significant contributions to the cancer arena with numerous publications on lung cancer. some of his selected publications include Age-and-sex-specific genomic profiles in non-small cell lung cancer, Characterizing the Clinical Relevance of an Embryonic Stem Cell Phenotype in Lung Adenocarcinoma, A genomic approach to colon cancer risk stratification yields biologic insights into therapeutic opportunities, etc.
Prior to receiving his Bachelor’s degree, Dr. Anil Potti attended the LFJ College in Secunderabad, India from 1987-89 and he pursued Majors in Biology, Chemistry and Physics. From 1996-2000, Dr. Anil Potti attended the Department of Internal Medicine at University of North Dakota (UND) School of Medicine, Fargo, North Dakota, to receive his Residency Training. He undertook Fellowship Training in Hematology and Medical Oncology between 2003-2006 at Duke University, Durham, NC. Further, he has had experience working as an Assistant Professor and more recently as an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at Duke University. In addition to this, he is actively associated with some reputed organizations like Alpha-Omega-Alpha (AOA) Honor Society, American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and American Association of Cancer Research (AACR).
